Enjoy Vin tage Bennett In Salford
“Enjoy” is a rarely-performed black comedy by Alan Bennett, the popular writer of classics such as “The History Boys”, “Habeas Corpus” and “Single Spies”. The play is running at the Salford Lowry from Monday 1st to Saturday 6th September. It stars Alison Steadman and David Troughton and tells of a sociologist who comes to observe an ageing couple in Leeds whilst their life takes a turn for the unusual. For tickets, ring 0870 787 5788

2008 Warehouse Project Announced
The Warehouse Project returns to Store Street for the last time before building work begins in the area. The event launches on the final weekend of September with Sasha, Loco Dice, Paul Woolford, Tini, Greg Lord and Andro playing Friday 26th. Saturday 27th sees Basement Jaxx DJing alongside the likes of Duke Dumont, Riton & Disco Bloodbath. Other events lined up for the Autumn include the Valve Soundsystem’s 10th birthday, Eat Your Own Ears, The Essential Mix, Ape’s birthday, Minus and a Jeff Mills special. Sleeping Outdoors In Manchester
Acclaimed outdoor theatre company Chapterhouse are bringing their version of “Sleeping Beauty” to Manchester’s Heaton Park on Friday 22nd August. This version follows five children evacuated to the countryside during World War II, who find fun and song in enacting the original story. |
